Across South Asia, grassroots changemakers—local NGOs, indigenous communities, and village leaders—are working tirelessly to protect wildlife, restore degraded lands, educate children, and lift children out of poverty. Yet these small-scale efforts often go unseen and underfunded, while large institutions receive the lion’s share of global aid. We believe those closest to the land and its challenges should be at the forefront of change.
